My heart goes out to you, that must have been such a hard decision to make. This brings tears to my eyes this morning at work. Boxerworld is the first place I check when I get to work in the morning and every day I see Bismark's picture and think about what he was going through. You gave so much to him, being with him through his illness and showing him you're doing whatever you could to make him comfortable. He will always know your love and you will always have the wonderful memories of your wonderful friend.
It is sad now, but remembering all the great moments will bring a smile to you.

Oh, Olly. I am so sorry for your loss! I can't imagine what you are going through without Bismarck after all this time. You did the right thing by ending his suffering, but I know that doesn't make it any easier. Thinking of you... :(

Please know that you are in my heart during this time of such a painful loss. Believe me, I know just how much Bismarck mean't to you and how much you mean't to him. Bismarck's life stood for so much....just look at the legacy he leaves. He was the original BW Boxer...the one that started it all. When I think of how many people have found helpful information, new friendships and yes, even heart felt sympathy and compassion when we needed it at this site and realize that it all happened because of your love for Bismarck....Well I think that is the greatest legacy any dog could ever hope for and Bismarck was the very special one that made it happen. I know it hurts when we are left behind, but I do know there is much excitement at the Bridge today, as they all proudly welcome their new prince. He will be quite the celebrity, as they all know who he is and what he has mean't to so many of us here in this world.

I can not say it anymore eloqeuntly (sp) then debbie did. My thoughts are with you as my heart is breaking, i can not imagine the emptiness that you must be feeling. Bismark will ALWAYS be in everyone's memory and he will have a special place in everyone's heart for many years to come. He is a posterchild for all of us.
