When we are out in the yard and I'm some distance away from Thor I crouch down and walk really slow towards him and then he crouches down and walks really slow towards me. Once we meet I clap my hands and say "I'm gonna git you" and he gets on his hind legs and tries to box me. It's just like when the kids were little and I'd do that and they would squeal with excitement! It's hilarious to watch him immitating me.

I usually play hide & seek, if we are in a place with trees I will hide behind the trees and Lisa comes to find me. The excitement that she displays is so funny.

Mack plays the same game with me! How funny! Sometimes, when they're out in the yard playing and I come out the door, he'll start "stalking" me - even if I'm not actually coming out to play! The other day I had to change pants three times because he got muddy paws on them before I could talk to DH and run to the car - he's very good at sneaking up on me!

Fletcher and I do something similar. He stands completely still and I start walking towards him very slowly. When I get to within like 2 feet of him he jumps up and slams his front paws down on the ground but keeps his butt up in the air and he barks like a maniac. Then I turn around to run off and he chases me!!!

I also play hide and seek with Carter. I either hide behind trees during walks or I'll run upstairs or go in a closet in the house and say "Carter Come" and he searches until he finds me. Another game we play is keep away with a small ball. I'll kick it around trying to keep it from him, once he gets it he will run around the yard until I can get it back, and we keep doing this back and forth.

I think its hilarious that we all play similar games with our guys. I do the stalkin bit with my hands up in front of me. Loki will crouch down and his eyes will get bigger and bigger, all the while he looks from side to side, until he barks and bounces and scares us both. He could play that game all day if I let him.

Oh, I wish!!! Mine think I'm the resident bouncing pole. They all come running up and fling themselves at me, usually at chest height. They only box me when I have a tennis ball or something else in my hand to distract them. By the time I get to the house I have footprints all over my back, shoulders, and legs.


I tried your game once, stalking them. I've learned better. I get plowed every time.
