Gained 6 lbs in 2 weeks??

We brought our Izzy home when she was 6 weeks old. She weighed 6lbs then. Today she is 8weeks old and weighs 12.9lbs......Is it normal for her to gain over 6lbs in 2 weeks???? We do not free feed. She is eating 3-4 times a day which adds up to a total of 2 1/2-3 cups of food.

I free feed mine and at 9 weeks he weighed 18.40#, at 12 weeks he weighed 26.30# and today at 14 weeks he weighs 30.00#. He is not overweight and only eats a handful several times a day. He is just very large. I'll post a picture if I can figure out how to.

Addie's 12 weeks and averages 3 lbs a week. Our Vet says its normal. We dont free feed either. She gets fed 3 times a day...and sometimes she will only pick at her lunch. So I guess its normal at this stage.

Same here. We do not free feed deacon and he gains average 3lbs a week we feed him 3 times a day now vice the 4 times when he was younger. at 14 weeks he is 25 lbs. So it seems normal to me

Addy was 8.6 lbs at 9 weeks and she went today for her 12 week booster shots and weighed in at 12.8 lbs. She was the smallest in the litter but puppies are like humans they come in all sizes...just love them all! My vet said I must be feeding Addy Miracle Grow!

I stopped into the vet today to get a quick weight, in 10 days Lola went from 7.5 to 12.3! YIKES!!!! not an ounce of fat on her, all legs and loose skin! hahaha She gets her 10 wk shots NEXT thursday, I'm only imagining what THAT weigh-in will bring! ;-)))))

aww diesel only gained 2.7 lbs in 2 weeks. :( The vet wants him in again in a week for a weigh in.

I'm thinking it'll be better next week, since he's eating about 1 cup a sitting now.

Dempsey goes through those stages where he has incredible weight gain over a couple of weeks and then he won't gain at all for a few more weeks, it is never consistent!

I couldn't get over how quickly Bella put on weight. She was 12 weeks old when we got her and every week brought more pounds. She is now 10 months old and recently put on 4 pounds in just 3 weeks!
