Fuzzy Green Bone?!

I got Owen a (smoked?) cow's knuckle bone for Christmas. I couldn't give it to him for a couple of weeks because his face was all puffy with the latest allergy attack. It was sealed in plastic, so I just held on to it for a little while.

I'd given it to him maybe 5 times for supervised chewing and kept in in the fridge for storage. I went to give my boy his favorite treat the other day, and it was super fuzzy and green!!!

Did I just keep it to long? Does he have a new and icky germ in his mouth? I was going to throw it out soon any way, but I wanted him to get one last chew :( . He was so sad that I had to give him cheese :D !

Yes, sounds like you had it too long.... when mine give me those boxer eyes that you swear are going to start crying, I go right out and get them another treat LOL

If I'd had any money, I'd have been at PetSupermarket in 10 minutes! Unfortunately, I'm totally broke, with no end in sight. I keep telling everyone that Owen's birthday is in April and he needs presents too :D :D !

So next time he gets one, how long do I keep it before I through it out?

NO MORE FUZZY GREEN THINGS IN THE FRIDGE!!

After 24 hours I throw whatever is left away. Usually there isn't much left at that point.
