Furminator?

Does anybody use a furminator on their boxer? Does it work well? My two are shedding so much.

Isn't the Furminator specifically designed for dogs with dual coats?

Technically it can work on a short coated dog, but that's a really expensive tool to use on a pretty simple coat. :p I use a rubber curry brush on Juno and it works wonders.

Furminators really don't work well on Boxer's coats. I use a zoom groom, (curry comb) when they go outside and give them a good rubdown once a day or other day and the hair in the house has dwindled a lot. Out of my four dogs....only Buster, who has an inner coat, gets the furminator.

Furminator works on my older girl. I use a curry brush otherwise. I am not sure if it is just age or hair type. Both are boxers...

I used to have a roommate who had a Furminator for her German Shepherd.
I used it on Beaux, who has a relatively thin coat.
It did work well and FAST.
When I moved I didn't miss the Furminator.
I use the same loop shedding blade on Beaux that I used to use on my Lab but I do need to get something gentler, so I'll probably end up with a Zoom Groom after reading this thread
