I was just reading the barking-at-toys thread and that made me think of this...

What's the funniest thing your boxer did when he/she was a puppy? I know EXACTLY what mine is...

When Legend was 11 weeks old, we took him to the Greater Ohio Boxer Rescue Boxer Bash in Cleveland OH. Its about a 4 hour drive. On the way there, he was in the back seat with his chewies and his toys and a big fluffy blanket, and my husband was eating a beef jerky. He's got a little wastebasket in the floor of the back seat of his truck, and he threw the wrapper into it. For some reason, Legend started BARKING at the wrapper in the trashcan. He wouldn't stop! It was the funniest thing ever! I don't know what provoked him or why he did it, but we went MILES down the road with him barking ferociously in that little high-pitched puppy bark at a BEEF JERKY WRAPPER!  We finally had to stuff it WAY down in the trash and cover it with something else so he would stop!!
:D

Funny for everyone but me

Cassuis does the tear around the house thing playing with the cats, well one of them was laying in wait and must have scarred my big bad boy, cause he came tearing straight at the couch, which I was laying on. Before I could react there was an airborne 20# boxer heading straight for my face (Dang those boxers can fly too!)! It was the first time he got up on the couch by himself, and ALMOST cleared my face too (ouch) so there I was looking at a sly cat very proud of her accomplishment, a startled boxer sitting on my head, and mommy making sure her eyes and nose were still intact! Needless to say, I sit up on the couch now when the kids are playing!;)

  That would be it for me and Hammer!! I would have loved to seen my own expression when 30# Hammer came leaping at my unsuspecting prone form! I just remember seeing the terror in his eyes, his lips flapping in the breeze...and one very upset black cat behind him. After that I was just worried about trying to breath after he knocked the wind out of me!!!

Caleb was 2-3 months old and he finally suceeded in tipping over the kitchen garbage can! Well it made a real loud noise and the top came flying off too when it hit the ground. It literally scared the pee outta him= he peed (while running mind you) from the kitchen, through the dining room, down the long hall and all the way to the living room! I had like 35 feet of pee pee to clean up, but I still thought it was pretty funny. Oh well, at least I have hardwood floors!

When Mercedes was a baby we didn't have a fenced yard, so we had to take her out to potty on a lead. I used a thirty foot long vinyl lead so she could run and play. It also allowed her some privacy while she went potty. One day I let her out on lead and when she was finished, I headed to the door first, and Mercedes followed after. The lead wrapped around our home alarm sign and it came scrapping across the ground behind her. She was running to get away from it and it followed her faster. I released her from the lead and she ran into the house and jumped on to our bed. I brought the sign in (mind you this is a little 3"x 3" sign attached to a rod), and tried to convince her it was not a bad sign. She would not go near it. To this day, I can not put the sign outside into the ground........She will not go near it! I have it hidden in our garage. It brings back terrible childhood memories for her. When I see it in the garage, I think of her as a tiny little baby and how I had to save her from that evil sign!

All is well without the sign, now we have Maximus to warn off thieves!!

He makes me laugh every day - but a few days ago was one of his better moments...

We have loose hanging fabric vertical blinds in front of the sliding glass door to the patio. Buster was playing with one of his toys by the door and it rolled in between the blinds and the door. He cautiously went after it, but the blinds kept swinging and getting in his way. Finally he just got so fed up he dove into the blinds, and then got scared because they went all which ways and were hitting him from all directions - he ended up on his back with all 4 paws kicking wildly trying to fend off the attacking blinds. I took pity on him and drew them open so he could "escape".

He's such a goof nugget. :D

When Bianca "Bonka" was about 4-5 months old we would let Dasia and Bianca out to play in the fenced in backyard. Well since it was about the summer time and very hot we hardly closed the sliding glass door we just had the screen door. So when we opened ONE door Dasia AND Bianca would go flying outside. However on a rare day someone closed BOTH the sliding glass and screen door so instead of waiting for one door to open up D and B had to wait for TWO. Well Bianca was not used to that so when we opend the glass door she still had the screen door. But she didn't know this and started to run out but went SMACK right into the SCREEN door!! Her face went all smooshed up against the screen door! IT was so hilarious. She kinda backed up and shook her head and snorted...OMG i thought i was going to die laughing!

Another funny thing is how Bianca has her nickname Bonka. She is constantly looking for food and LOVES TO EAT! She seriously acts like we do not feed her! WE feed them once a week! Isn't that enough..we figured that it cuts down on the food intake and saves us money if fed once a week. So anyways reasons unknown she is constantly hungry and so she sniffs the ground looking for food because her head is down...she runs into walls and bonks her head! And she never learns!

BTW...i was just kidding about the whole feeding thing! We do feed them! Hehehe i always tell my mom that because she thinks we should feed them atleast 7 times PER day including desserts after every meal!

The first time we gave Chewy peanut butter he was only about 9 or 10 weeks old. Well, he had very mixed feelings about the whole experience. He walked up to the spoon and took a lick, then jumped back and barked his head off, then up for another lick, then back to bark again, and just went back and forth like this til the peanut butter was gone. A couple times he even barked at it while he was licking it. What a goof ball!:p

Well, mine is still a 5 month old pup.., so we're in the middle of it..

Weirdest stuff:

He'll go mental at my water turtles.., I have 2 red cheecked turtles, and the moment I let those walk on the dry, he'll go mental at them, braking to no end..

Oh, and the latest thing that made me want to shove him under the carpet was this week..

Our cat recently died :( , but we went out to get a new cat, so we completely cleaned out the kitty grit litter box which we did on the roofplaza.. (we live 1 and 2 up, with a roofplaza as garden), so we dump all the dirty litter into a bag and close that up..

I walk upstairs, bringing the cleaned out box up, and as I stand upstairs, I hear Unda grabbing the bag, I think: NOOOO, as I run downstairs, I'm just in time to see the bag filled with a LOT of kitty grit litter being torn apart over our tiles.., and Unda looking at me: WEEEEEE, LOOK HOW FUN THIS IS :D
I couldn't decide to either burst out in laughter because of the look he gave me, or to get mad because he made a chaos out of the garden..

I decided not to say a word, send him inside and broom the stuff up in the end.., he didn't know that what he did was wrong anyways :)
I just thought by myself: It could've been worse, if it had rained that bag would've been inside :D

All of your stories    Great thread - we all can use lots of laughs every day! When Fritzi would ride in the car (in the back seat) as a puppy she loved to crawl under the passenger seat and hide under there. Well she didn't realize she was growing and about 5 months old she got stuck with her little butt sticking out.....another time my son lined up his beanie babies on his bed and one fell on the floor, Fritzi picked it up in her mouth and set it back on the bed with the others.
