Denise, I am so glad Freckles is hanging in there. She is a super strong dog. How old is Freckles? Boxers really have great spirit. Have you tried ground beef for feeding her? Her grandad is great too!!!
Sayge is doing good right now (alot better than I am but I am trying to keep my spirits up). She has an overnight guest tonight. My daughter has a Jack Russell Terrier named Abby that is best friends with Sayge - they are literally Mutt and Jeff. She is staying overnight with Sayge so they are both loving it.
We see the surgeon for staple removal on Wednesday and to talk of any further treatment. I will let you all know what he says. He was very nice and he said something that made alot of sense " That dogs don't know they have cancer and they don't worry - as far as they are concerned they are just happy old dogs! It is the people that worry. " That statement was some comfort for me because it is true. I have had so many people calling me about Sayge. Dogs are such a member of your family.

That's great news about Freckles! Hopefully things will continue to get better for her! And I really hope you and your family can rest easy for a while. Rhonda, "skin kids" are the human kids (the two legged ones with skin) that people have! I'm sending you the best wishes with Sayge... I loved what your vet said about "people are the only ones that worry". Thanks for sharing that one! It is sooo true! Our hugs and kisses to you too!

So FRUSTRATED!!

Hi Folks,

Freckles is so tough. She is really hanging in there. However, she is in some pain and discomfort. We are hoping that her new medicine will help. Right now, my husband ans her grave ready at home. She is weak but she continues to fight.

This disease is so horrible!!! I know that she is dying and we are slowly letting her go. However, we still keep a positive attitude and do the best we can to make things easy for her. That is all we can do!!

She is a joy and so strong!! I'm so grateful that we have her in our lives. Tomorrow, we are going to the oncologist to see how much as spread. We are taking things one day at a time. Some days are good and some days have been really bad!! IT REALLY HURTS!!! I'm just so relieved that she is eating and drinking. She really loves home cook meals. Every night, grandpa feeds her and we all have dinner together. She and Pepper just love it!! We are pulling together as a family and just hope for the best.

Hope all is well with everyone!! It is getting harder to stay strong. I'm losing it at work and boy that hardly ever happens!!
