Sounds great. Thanks for letting us know. Maybe Valentine can help me keep Pumpkin in line! She's such a good role model.

Thanks for the tip, Dan. :) I just ordered one. I have been using a coupler with little problems but it sure would be nice not to have to find the coupler, get the leash, attach to the collars etc. This way I only have to keep up with one thing! :D How long did it take to get your order?

Sandy,

I ordered mine on 3/7 and got it today, 3/14. There was a weekend in there somewhere :). That was regular US Mail, so that wasn't really too bad, I thought.

My dogs don't wear their collars in the house, so I just take the collars off each and leave them hooked to the 2dog leash. When we go out, I have them sit in front of me, put on their collars and we're out the door. We come in, they sit, I take off the collars and we go get a treat!!

Hope you like it. I'm really enjoying mine.

I am going to check this out..Thank you so much Dan. Jason and I have no problems walking the dogs when we are together but I have problems walking them both together by myself..although they are both pretty good on a leash (besides Baxter stops every few feet to sniff and lift  ) it is still difficult because they tend to get wrapped and go in different directions. This looks like it will make walking them together a breeze for me :) Thanks again.

Dan,
I'm glad to hear that's working for you. I tried the double leash with my two who are each pullers on their own. Rather than pulling against each other it was like hooking up sled dogs and letting them pull as a team. Never again.

A question as an observation: Next time the two gangs walk up on you from the front and the rear, which way will the dogs go? Just a thought.

Dan---thanks for the web site! Although I don't have 2 dogs right now, I would love to. I just need Sammie to agree!!:)

....also, went to Barnes & Noble yesterday to get "The Culture Clash". They didn't have it. I was so disappointed, but think I can get it from Amazon. Sammie may be 9 1/2, but better late than never! Thanks again, Dan.......... Annie

Splitter Leashes

b.dan

yes! i have a 2 dogger as well for jake and elwood and it works great, what a site to see my 2 boys trotting in unison! they love it, but i can be worn out at times cuz they get so in tune with each other that they get carried away and i end up having to put on the breaks and have a talk with them. Now that i have gotten panda, i have go so far as to purchase an addin for the double-doggie-splitter leash, making it a triple. they are now in a 'V' formation with little panda leading the charge! i can get all of the to gate at the same tempo and get quite a workout! next time i will wear a helmet and rollerblades! :D

All right, I have a question regarding this.

I don't walk my dogs, we live in the country and there is really no where to walk them except on a highway (no thank you). I wanted to start to walk them this year (on weekends taking them into town, etc.) I was going to try this one at a time until each one learned how to walk on a leash. When I take them places now I have all three myself sometimes and it is quite the sight. They really aren't too bad unless another dog is in close proximity.

Anyway, my question is do you think I should take them one by one or try this double or triple leash idea?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated - also remember they are all adult dogs (soon to be 3, 5 and 7).

Thanks, Brenda

Since they are not used to walking at all, I would think it might be better to walk them individually until they get the hang of it before I would walk them all together. Remember, with three dogs, you have three times the muscle pulling you down the street, if they decide in unison to take after a squirrel or something. That's just my opinion, however. I hope someone with more experience with this issue would reply.

Frustrated "Coupler" owner

Hi Dan! I was interested in your post because I bought a really nice (expensive) coupler a few months ago with this awesome vision of my two pups walking side by side at a leisurely pace...WRONG! The first time I clipped it on them they got in a huge, snarly, nasty fight! They get along so well so this aggression towards each other floored me! I had to get inbetween them and pull them off each other. Booder and Barley are the best of friends (brothers) any other time, but once I try that coupler again, all heck breaks loose! HELPPPPPP! I love this coupler because it's longer than the ones I've seen in stores, and it's guaranteed tangle-free. I would really like to use it someday lol....What can I do to remedy this???? I have resorted to regular leashes (two separate ones) which works out much better, but would truly like to use this awesome leash SOME DAY! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!, Jicksies
