Food mats

Not sure where else to ask this ? Any suggestions on decorative ideas for bigger mats for food and water dishes ? We have hardwood floors that I am trying to keep dry ! All the mats at the stores are like place mat size and I really need something a little larger as our girl tends to drip I just can't come up with anything I think would look nice in our kitchen that is large enough to catch more of the drips.

Any suggestions would be great !

I use a doormat under our water bowl. It's really cute and available at a few different on-line shops. Just google "wipe your paws boxer doormat" and you'll see it.

We have a two quart stainless water dish that sits inside a fairly large semi-clear Rubbermaid plastic box. We tried a lot of other stuff but the floor kept getting soaked. The box holds almost all of their sloppy drinking mess and we just clean it out regularly to keep anything from growing.
Not decorative, but neither is damage to the oak flooring.

How about a rubber boot tray. It's nice and big, with a lip around it is that it won't leak and will keep any spills contained.

We have used rugs with the rubber underside. That way they are big enough (like 36"x24") and no water seeps through and we just wash it every few weeks with our laundry. Good luck!

I got a really nice (big) made-for-dogs mat at Frontgate. It even comes personalized. I love it!

We just use a towel, but we have vinyl floors. Sonia still drips water everywhere, though. We feed her in the garage so she makes her food messes where it can be cleaned up easily.

Thank you all for the great ideas ! I will check out the sites for the mats and the rubber boot tray idea. Hopefully I will come up with something better than what I have been using !

I have a rubber boot tray too! it works wonders!!! I got it on sale at Joann in the summer section. It's green and pretty
The bowl raiser fits perfect in it

I don't have one of these, but am planning to get one for my fishtank. I bet they would work awesome for the dog dishes
