Food Everywhere

Does anyone else's boxer have trouble keeping their food in their mouth? when Diesel eats he gets food everywhere. as he walks away from his bowl food bits are constantly falling from his large lips. we have to sweep up after he eats because there is literally dog food half way across the kitchen floor. just curious if anyone else experiences this. i have tried to figure out a way to remedy this but short of getting him a feedbag like you use on a horse, i can't figure it out.

I gave up on trying to contain them to one area. They nibble then take it away from the bowl and back and forth. All the while leaving a trail of food.

Daisy seems to like to eat her food off the floor better. She has a Dr's. Foster & Smith, cast iron food stand that she eats out of. She will get a mouth full of food and drop it on the floor right next to the stand.

he won't eat food off the floor eventhough it is the same food he just dropped outta the bowl. you can even put it back in the bowl and he will just look at it as though it is foreign.

Max only drops his food on the floor when he decides to look around and see what Odi is doing. Now Odi comes over after eating his dinner and cleans up Max's mess. Since it's not much I don't worry about it.

It seems as if Mateus just likes to eat anywhere but over his bowl. He is always carrying his food away and yes dropping it too. He generally stays within a 5 foot radius though ha ha!!

not only do I keep a broom handy for food but also a mop for when Hennessy drinks he likes to put his whole face in it, I really gotta teach this guy to use a napkin

Tunney seems to prefer her food off the floor. She used to be such a pig, and race to her bowl when it was filled and gobble it down. Now it seems like she can't be bothered to eat unless her food is first spilled out onto the floor. She picks up each piece, tastes it, spits it out, sniffs it, then eats it.

:D You should see the mess in my kitchen after Evie & Adam eat!! They eat kibble & drop it all over the floor. Then, they get a drink and slobber on top of that!! Adam is the worst! you can actually follow a trail of wet carpet to th back door!

Jackson is an absolute mess when he eats.

If he is eating wet food it ends up in his eye lids. After he has eaten dry food and goes for a walk in the yard you will see him nibbling on a nut that he has found in his lips (this tends to be 15 minutes after he has eaten). I guess he is storing it for later - in case he gets hungry
