My boxer plays with her dish and destroys it. I have bought everything from plastic to metal. She flips the metal one in the air and when it lands upside down, she stands up and pounds her front feet on it. When friends are at the house and she is in the back yard....they are amazed at how loud it can get with her throwing that dish around. Any idesa on what I can do? I thought about buying a double dish (plastic so I can rivet the bowls in place) and stake it to the ground.

You could try getting a rubber one. You can usually get them at feed stores. They are made out of the same stuff as horse dishes etc. and are very tough.

harley has a raised food/water dish.
im not positive what its made of, some sort of metal.
the base looks like a big "H" and coming out of the middle
going straight up is a tall rod. it has a small piece that is around
the rod with a knob on it, when you tighten the knob, it stays in place at any height....
the knob thing holds up a food bowl on one side and a water bowl on the other, suspended in the air. then it has another knob piece that goes over the top to hold it in place, the food and water bowls can not be knocked out of the holder.
the H base makes it nearly impossible to tip the whole thing, especially when its against a wall.
im really sorry, i did a terrible job of describing it, but my mind just doesnt seem capable of this sort of thing. but it works very well. the food/water thing, i mean.

Maybe you need to put down her dish when it's dinner time and then take it back as soon as she is done.
