Fisrt Vet Shots

So, I went to visit my baby girl Zeena and my breeder is a little ditzy I guess is the best way to describe it. She forget that Zeena will be 8 weeks old this Sunday and needs her shot so I can take her home next Tuesday. She may not get Zeena to the vet before I am supposed to pick her up. I took 5 days off of work to get her familiar with our home and spend time with her and I am so anxious to have her in my arms, I can't wait anymore for her, I want that little girl home with us. Anyway, the breeder may not get her shot before next Tuesday. I have a vet appt. for her on the Monday after thanksgiving. Any thoughts or comments from you all would be helpful as to me taking her without any shots. I know she has started her de-worming but if she doesn't get her first shot, can I still take her home????

I took Max home and then started his shots. He went to the vet the day after I brought him home. I don't have any other animals. He is doing just fine.

Thanks for the response. Turns out my Zeena is going to get her first shot on Monday and I am picking her up on Tuesday!! I'm so obsessed with her and she's not even home yet! I can't wait to have that little baby girl home with me!!! I have a vet appt. with her the following monday for a check up etc...so I'm all set (and honestly, I was picking her up on Tuesday no matter what, I can't wait anymore!)

We got Drake home and then took him for his shots. He's doing fine

I am glad things are working out. Taking your baby home at that young age without shots I don't think would be a problem. As long as you don't let her around other dogs and you take her to the vet right away. Which was your plan all along. Enjoy your new girl and let us know how she is doing. Love her name. Can't wait to see pics.
