First Puppy

I just got my first boxer and I love him. I picked him up one week ago tonight and he is now 6 weeks old yesterday. So got him at 5 weeks.
This has been the best decision I could have made.
After one week he is doing pretty good. Still crying in his crate, but he is begining to sleep all night now, instead of every 2 hours getting up. Once I get some pictures scanned in I will show them to everyone.

His name is Bosco and is Fawn with great white flash on his face.

Welcome to BW!! We also got Hammer at the young age of 5 weeks!! How I remember the cuddly little "snausage" at that age!! Enjoy it now, before you know it he will be big, big, big!! LOL, but they're still just as cuddly!

Welcome to BW! This is a great place for Boxer Lovers!! When are you going to post some pics of your little bundle of joy?

I thought it was kind of early also. But my breeder let me know it was OK. This was my first puppy. I just hope it does not make things a bit rough for me in the long run. So far so good, he is great. We have had minimal problems in the house or his crate.

Any thoughts to make things easier for me and better for him.

Just give him lots and lots of praise when he does anything good! Some people think I'm silly sometimes the way I talk to my dogs and get really excited with them when they do good!! :p

Bosco sounds adorable I can't wait to see pictures. While you did get him a bit young you have come to the right place to find answers to all your questions. Right now just give him lots of love, cuddles and feed frequently. Have you had any problems with him going potty in the crate? Make sure you let him out often enough so he doesn't go in there since you don't want any problems with that down the road. Enjoy your new bundle and welcome to Boxerworld!
