First Puppy Class

We found a great trainer and Bode and I had our first puppy class last night. It's a group class but there were only 2 puppies (including Bode) in it so we got some very good individualized attention. Bode has been good at sit and a short stay but down is giving me problems. We worked on that it class. True to boxer form he was very stubborn and wouldn't down. He FINALLY GOT IT and then he proceed to fall asleep and snore during the next instruction from the trainer. We at least he didn't poop like the other puppy

I like this trainer. It's all positive no choke chains or pinch collars. Hopefully we'll be well on our way to good manners in the next 6 weeks!

Ahh sounds like little Bode is doing great with puppy class!

Great! Probably a good thing that there are only 2 other dogs--working around distractions is a good thing, but you don't want it TOO distracting right off the bat.

OMG! I've not be on BW much lately and I didn't know about Bode. He's adorable! Puppy class sounds like fun. Way too cute that he snored for the class!

I am glad you found a trainer you like. I am looking now for an alternative for Brodie and myself to use. I am not sure I like the place I had originaly planned to bring him for training. The main trainer is out and I met the assistant who will be doing puppy and level one. I realy want someplace that can help us get CGC.
