I found this site when my precious Maggie was diagnosed with mast cell tumor, which grew very fast. My decision to put her down on October 7 was the hardest decision I ever made. I now have my second Boxer, Sophie, brindle, floppy ears, and cropped.
I was not really ready but my kids were. good decision made. She will never replace Maggie, but she has filled that emptiness in my heart. Will stop in time to time to look for advice and a shared fondness for the breed.

Now if I can just break her from peeing everywhere.

I am very sorry about Maggie - it is so hard to cope when they leave us :(

Sophie sounds very cute - even if she does pee everywhere :)

Welcome to BW,

Lots of fun and great information here.

Sophie will never replace Maggie, but will build her own little place in your family. Enjoy the new baby.

After checking with her vet, I've started limiting her water intake and she is doing much better. She is very fun to have around except for the pek-a-poo we havem Sophie aggravate the daylights out of her, but she seems to enjoy it.

I should have gotten another Boxer several years ago for Maggie to have to play with, Boxers do love the company of another companion.

We just adopted another Boxer from a pet rescue today, a seven month male, floppy ears and docked tail. He is going to make a great playmate for Sophie. I ever would have guessed after putting my Maggie down in October that I would have two Boxers today. Sophie and Tyson play real well together and Tyson has made himself at home here. My wife learned about Tyson(changed name fom Bruiser) when she took our Peek-a-Poo to be groomed and she met him then. She made the mistake of telling me about him and my son said let's go for it.

My oldest son is planning on taking him when he marries next year(yeah right) and is already upstairs sleeping with him. He is a typical Boxer full of love and energy and will make a great member of the family.

Anyone who is considering a Boxer for a pet, is making a good decision, wouldn't have it any other way.
