The two toys game works well for this problem as well. What you do is as soon as you get your hand on the first toy you throw the second toy. The dog will usually release the first toy and go after the second toy. When the dog starts releasing the toy as soon as you get your hand on it then you add your release command.

Duke seems to get the "drop it" command. On Friday he went and got a toy and brought it to me, and I kept saying "give it" and I would still have to pull it from his mouth. I said hmm, I'll try the "drop it" command and see what happens? I said drop it Duke and he done so, over and over again:D! So, for some reason he understands the "drop it" command? Whatever works, huh! I'm just so proud of my baby!appicon
