My female(Shadow, 7 years old) gets submissive with me when I try to get her to pee outside when I get home, then later she will leak little spots in the house, like she is trying to hold it too long. I have two males ( Bruiser and Bear) and thought she just did not want to pee when they are there, because they follow her, but she does the same thing when I try taking her out alone. anyone have any input on why she is doing this ? thanks

Do you make your coming and goings a big deal? Every female canine I've ever known piddled a little when you get them really excited. She may seem submissive outside, but she is playing around when she should be doing her stuff. Give her a command to go. If she doesn't, take her back inside. You have to watch her like a hawk though. If you see the "tell tale" signs, take her out. When you catch her start to go in the house, cease it immediately, and take her to her spot right then. It might take a few extra minutes for her to go. When she does, praise her like she just won the gold medal over Michael Phelps. Do you take them to a specific spot in the yard, or do you allow the others to go wherever?

Uh...that actually sounds like a little incontinence going on. My female developed that after her spay. And it doesn't matter if she just went outside, she'll still dribble because she's lost some muscle control. Have you had her checked out by a vet? A UTI might also be the cause.
