Are you considering feeding raw or cooked?

I have fed raw deer before. I would make sure that any raw game is frozen for at least 30 days at 0 Degrees C. If you are feeding it cooked, no problem.

I've fed my dogs plenty of raw deer. It's usually frozen for a couple weeks before feeding, per advice that I've received on this board.

There is no need to freeze it as long as you are going to feed it cooked.

just wondering why you would freeze it for so long first? is this due to parasites or bacteria to possibly cause food born illness?? :O)

You freeze the deer only if you plan to feed the meat raw, and thats to get rid of any linguring parasites. I have fed my guys raw deer and elk and they absolutely loved it! Its also good for them ;)
