I am wondering if I am feeding my girls the right amount of food per serving. They are eating Canidae (4 Meats).

Sasha weighs 55lbs at 6 years old, I feed her 2 1/2 cups per day with a little bit of canned mixed in (Canidae, as well, but only for breakfast and dinner about 4oz., for lunch I mix with 2-3tsp of Natural Plain yogurt.) She eats 3 times per day: 1cup kibble for breakfast, 1/2 cup for lunch and 1 cup for dinner.

Angel weighs 15lbs at 10 weeks old, I feed her 1 1/2 cups kibble per day + 1oz canned for breakfast and dinner and 1-2tsp yogurt for lunch, also 3 times per day: 1/2 cup each meal.

They are both active and get plenty of excersize. Is this OK, to much to little. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Also just an FYI, the store where I get food from is having a hard time getting Canidae cans. So, I ordered online Evangers 100% Beef and 100% Cooked Chicken. 24/13.2oz cans of each. I found that it is cheaper, yet just as good as the Canidae.

Thanks in advance.

I don't feed Canidae, but it should have guidelines/recommendations for the different weights/lifestages right on the bag.

Thank you for responding. I should have Asked my question differently. As I am not getting any responses to this.

My main concern is the amount of canned food I should be adding to the kibble, so I wouldn't be overfeeding them. They won't eat the kibble all by itself, unless they absolutely have to. :) I can't blame them really, that would be like eating a steak without the potatoes. ;)

Thanks again.

I'm not sure how big of a headache it is to add canned to every meal for you but I'd look into changing foods if my 2 didn't eat it by itself. The canned thing gets old and inconvenient. Mine wouldn't touch Canidae so I switched up.

But, back to your original question, if they aren't putting on or losing weight and you don't have problems with loose stools, you're probably feeding the correct amount.
