Cool!! War dogs, Motorcycle dogs, t.v. and movie stars. Thanks gang. I forgot about the 101 Dalmation Boxer (Don't tell my Morpheus- but the original 101 was my favorite movie of all time- until Good Boy came along.)

I'll have to start watching more MTV, tv movies, and rent Adam's Rib....Boxer Stalkers watch out...even a couch potato can join our club.

Quick note about Marmaduke- So glad you told us that! My mom is a great artist, and really crafty. She made me a box decorated with Marmaduke comics, but she changed it to Morphaduke" and colored them to look like my Morphy. Because he IS the comic. That explains alot.

This is soooooooooooo much fun.

I just bought Good Boy(great movie- a whole other topic to discuss....). Winston is now a famous "Boxer charecter".

Hehe his name is actually Wilson!! And we loved the character so much that we named our little Wilson after him. :p

It'a a Mastercard commercial, you know one of those "Priceless" ones. I think the story goes like this...

The boxer's family is on vacation and is taking pictures with those big trees (I forget their names - I think they're in California). He ends up getting left behind and takes off on a journey home. They show different people giving him rides and spoiling him and they have the prices for it all - $7 for bandana, $3 for dog biscuits, etc... then it's "Not worrying about being far from home - priceless." They have a couple different segments of the dog's journey and then the last one where he makes his way home.

It's great and the pup is beautiful - like you said, brindle with natural ears. They should definitely use our babies for more ads like this. Their personality makes them perfect for acting!

On American Chopper, Paul Teutul Sr. has a Mastiff that he sometimes takes on the road. I have notices that Mastiff's and Boxers look a lot alike but the Mastif has a HUGE head. Poeple sometimes ask if Gunner is a mastiff or part mastiff because of the size of his head.

From what I've read online , I believe it was the bull mastiff and bull dog that were bred to make what we now know as the wonderful beautiful boxer !! I think you can definatly see the characteristics of both breeds when you look at the boxer...what a great combination ! ;)

Has anyone seen the denim jeans commercial where the dog chases this chick up a tree? The dog latches on to her jeans and takes them off her body and retrieves them for her owner? Anyway, I paused the TiVo and its boxer with a tail!!!!! Anyway, how often is it you see a Boxer with a tail on TV????

Marmaduke

I watched a bio some time ago on the cartoonist who does the Marmaduke comic-strip.. Although Marmaduke is clearly a Great Dane, guess what breed inspired the personality of this character? If you guessed Boxer, you're right!
