Is there anyway to get rid of these? I hate them soooo much. Especially right when they wake up because they are sticky and gross looking. They also are very slimey. Does anyone else have this same problem. I am int he process of switching their food from california natural to sensible choice. Does food play a role in eye boogies? I see post all the time about people that change food and they go away. Does their play a role? Can it be and infection? I am going to the vet today and for other reasons but i will ask about this.

When we switched our two over to wellness the bogies didn't stop but they got better they are less gooey and they only happen in the morning! Tyson usually gets them worse on days when we take tham in the car BC he sticks his head out the window! I think it is ridiculous to want to get rid of them comletely as I believe that it is a defense mechanism, we get bogies every morning why shouldn't they? It is a collection of all the gunk that they caught the day before!!

I switched to Wellness when Shakira was about 6 months old and she had really bad eye boogies. After about a little over a month on Wellness she has absolutely NO eye boogies. Sometimes her eyes will water a bit but never any eye boogies. I know it has to be the Wellness.

Jessie use to have really bad eye boogie problems and it turned out to be an infection. the vet gave her eye drops and it went away. She still has it but very little.
