Sadly, Chloe got Kennel Cough from her vaccine. I posted all about that on the health forum, so in accordance with the Rules I won't repeat myself. I just wanted to know if there is anything special you do for your babies when they have major gooey eyes and a runny nose?

I tried to teach her to blow her nose - but she's having a tough time with it :). However, she appreciates it when I wipe it; she sticks her little pretty face up.

She is getting vitamins - and her appetite is coming back; I scrambled an egg for her: she liked that too.

Is there anything special that I can do for her eyes, nose - or any special treats? My heart just breaks for her.

Basil caught a cold when he was a puppy and had many of the same symptoms, snot, boogies, etc. I used a warm wash cloth to wipe things off and that seemed to help tremendously. The vet said I could put vaseline on the crusty nose but I never did that. I hope your baby is feeling better soon.

aww poor Chloe! When Ping has eye boogies I also use a warm washcloth and get them off, I say "lets get the boogies" and he runs in the bathroom  so he must like getting them off. He's never had a problem with it too bad though, when he has allergic reaction to fleas our vet has us give him benadryl, I dont know if he would recommend it for runny nose and boogies.. but maybe. I hope she gets to feelin better soon!:) Of course mama's love is the best medicine!
