Exuberant Darcy jumps on everyone

Hi,

I'm sorry if this is a repeat question; I looked through the first several pages and didn't see anything.

Darcy is 11 months. We've worked with her so she doesn't jump on us by turning our back to her, but no matter what we do, she gets so excited about seeing a new person (on the sidewalk or a guest in our home) that she jumps up on them in wiggling passion.

She doesn't jump on us, just other people. How do we correct this behavior? Have you experienced this with your boxers?

Do you think you could get some friends to help you train? The idea here is that they will be willing (and well briefed) guinea pigs who will practice arriving at your house and ignoring your dog.

There have been quite a few previous threads on how to go about training in this way. There are many others on jumping though, and usually its on guests/strangers, so definitely worth your while searching the forums for threads on jumping.
