Gwyneth, that was a very well put educational information.:) Thanks for that!

Krose is also the same way. I neither ignore, nor pet him. I like what he does when I come home. I say hi too, then he starts following me to every room I go:D

But like others she has bruised me quite badly. When she jumps on me I will say "ouch" and her will stop jumping. She really does not want to hurt us.
Thats how we trained our rough newfie years ago. She and her littermates were played with quite roughly with the husband and they all had a very hard time with nipping/rough house. They fought with each other fine like puppies should, but when it came to us, everything was a go. Saying No and Stop! didn't help so I decided since she played with her sibs fine I would become a puppy. When Chase would nip I would squeal like a hurt puppy and she would stop quickly. Thats why I feel having littermates staying together pass 6 weeks is so important - thats when they learn how to socialize with thier littermates and how biting hurts each others.

I can't help it, but I loved getting slobbered with kisses and wiggles and hugs when I walk through the door. My husband jokes that Bailey is more excited to see him when he gets home then I am. I joke that she is!! LOL

Oscar is the same way

Oscar is the same way as soon as my GF or I walk in and let him out of his kennel no matter how long we have been gone he is just so excited to see us and hops all over to get our attention. One thing our trainer suggested for the jumping problem which seems to work very well with Oscar is when he starts trying to jump up at you just walk forward at him and move into his space, he will quickly learn that this is not very fun for you to keep moving into his space and will start to stop jumping up on you. One note must be careful when moving into his space so not to step on his little paws.
