Duke is 6 years old and he has never had accidents in the house. He has always drank a lot of water, but recently his water intake has noticeabley increased. He also started to have accidents in the house. He has been to the vet and they have tested him for everything under the sun and found nothing. We even took down our Christmas tree, thinking this might have had something to do with it. He pees in his sleep and it seems as though he is "leaking" and he is not aware of it. Has anyone ever had issues like this before? Any ideas?

OMG, we are going through the same thing. We are also in NJ.
I just recently posted about "polydipsia/polyuria" and the "i need to vent" thread.
I don't have any advice for you, but I know your pain. It's very hard to see those kind of symptoms with no diagnosis. Not to mention, the house accidents are frustrating and cleaning a crate every morning is exhausting.
You and Duke have my prayers. Hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this soon. Sending hugs and slobbery kisses your way. Let me know how you make out.

Oh, I just realize you're in Illinois. I must of had you confused with someone else.

Are there any other symptoms? Since I am going thru this right now, I bring up Addison's Disease. Has he been tested for this?

Does he act depressed? Does he sit in a corner instead of by you? Does he have a limp? Any vomiting? What about his eating....less or more of an appetite?

I only bring it up because I know our dog had to go out alot before she had other symptoms. Of course, I installed a dog door, so now I don't know how often she has to go.

My dog has been having bladder issues and has been on special food and nothing is helping. She also pees in her sleep-which is in my bed- or she wakes me up every hour to go out. I don't know what to do with her. She acts like a normal healthy boxer. This is her only fault- and it's a big one!

Duke doesn't have any other symptoms. He acts completely healthy and his appetite is good, as usual. I really think it has to be something emotional rather than physical. I don't know. I'm still doing a lot of research.
