I have had a few people ask me if Sebastian is a pit bull mix too. There are parts of him that look a lot like a pit bull. He may be mixed with sometihng. We re-homed him. :)

???? you rehomed him because he LOOKED like a pitty ? ?????

sorry a bit confused about ur post ..... :)

I’m guessing she meant they rescued him or that he was rehomed to them...meaning they don’t know where he originally came from. Or its just sarcasm:LOL:

I was raised with a super sweet pit bull name Pete (from the Little Rascals). He slept in my bed when I was 3 years old and we had him for 8 wonderful gentle years. He was one of the kindest dogs I have ever met. We had free range chickens as a child and Pete had a dog house outside. One of the chickens would come into his house and lay eggs everyday, he never even broke an egg.
Our next door neighbor has another pit bull who is also just a big sweetie, the chihuahua across the street though is completely another story. It is crazy, runs into our yard, barks and growls at us with hackles up. Pit bulls though should be banned, they just might lick you to death :)

Juno used to get mistaken as a pittie all the time when she was a pup. It's kind of funny because as an adult, she never gets called a pit... but she gets called a boston terrier ALL THE TIME. You'd think it'd be the opposite, you know, with the major size difference between a full-grown boxer and a boston terrier lol.

Every pittie I've met has been an absolute SWEETHEART!!! They remind me a lot of boxers. We get a lot of pitties at school (shelter dogs that we house on-campus for a while) and they are always my favorite to work with because they are so sweet, and so tolerant of all the poking and prodding we may do to them. Out of all the breeds I've worked with--and I've worked with quite a few purebreds and mixes--pitties are my favorite (along with boxers of course; but we seldom get boxers at school).

I wish people would actually MEET pit bulls before saying they are horribly vicious dogs. The media does not help and it does not help that people equate high prey drive/dog aggression with human aggression. Just because a pittie can't safely be around a chihuahua, doesn't mean that same pittie is going to eat a toddler. It's such a ridiculous assumption.

Some of the most well behaved dogs I have ever met are pits. My neighbor pup Sheba is so much more polite than my two crazy pups. She is a gem. We often pup sit her for the weekend and she plays wonderfully with my two and they both just love her. Sheba is one of those beings that is good from the inside out.....great dog.
