Hi. I just thought I would let you all in on what funny things Rocky has been doing! He always helps me clean!! Ha Ha. He barks and tries to attack the broom, mop, and vaccume every time I use them! Every time I take his picture, he barks at me too like he doesn't want his picture taken! It's cute. He sure does make cleaning the house alot harder than usual, but I don't mind, it makes it funner to do too. He never gets ahold of all my housecleaning tools, just tries to get them. He is listening very well. He is learning fast! I am very glad my husband and I decided to get a Boxer.

Christine.... Mom of Rocky...3 mos. old

Christine, I am glad to hear that Rocky is giving you so many laughs! Ty is also 3 months old and 22 pounds of goofiness!! He also chases the broom when I sweep, but the rough part is that he dives through my dirt pile before I get a chance to sweep it up off the floor-sometimes I think he's lucky that he's so stinking cute, because there's no possible way I could ever get mad at his smoosh face. I don't ever remember laughing at any dog the way I laugh at boxers-they really are clowns!!

Get used to the laughs! There will be many more to come! Make sure you take as many pictures as possible, those puppy days will fly by! :)

I remember your posts before you got him concerning his adjustment, I guess that's all going okay! Congratulations, enjoy the puppy days!!

Isn't it nice to have a pup to "help" you clean?! Killian tries to eat the vacuum and the broom, I think he thinks they are going to carry me away if he doesn't "kill" them first. Boxers are such characters, it is never a dull moment with one in the house. :)

I know what you mean Christine. I am sort of in the same boat as you except I am fortunate enough to see my husband every weekend, but I still miss him tons being without him during the week. Also, he did get to be there for the first 3 months of Dutch's life.

We got Dutch Nov 30th (my early Christmas gift) and in April my husband had to go away for 4 months of training for his new job. Dutch is my best buddy all throughout the week. He sleeps in my husband's spot but then knows it's back to his bed when he comes home. Every night when my husband calls he asks about Dutch and then says aren't you glad I got him for you b/c he knows it's tough to be away from each other and our little pup makes it easier.

I gave him pictures of all 3 of us to take to his place, I hope you are sending your husband lots of them so he doesn't miss anything. My hubby still thinks he is missing something even though he sees him on the weekend. And once your baby starts to "talk" as many, if not all Boxers, do you can put him on the phone, that always cracks him up :)
