Completely Boxer Crazy
He had a post-surgical infection...it should resolve now that he is on antibiotics. That should be pretty easy to deal with. Hope he starts to feel better soon, and hope he starts to feel the love and smile

To top it off the poor guy has been coughing since yesterday afternoon. I believe he has kennel cough! Well, he is still eating/drinking, and regardless of all this horrible stuff he has had to go through physcially, seems to be doing better in terms of energy and enthusiasm. I'll be going out for vitamin C and Robitussin DM today. Poor guy. Dumped by family and kept in cage, brought into new environment, cryptorchid neuter, wound infection, and now kennel cough, and his spirit is still growing. Six years young and still going! What a great temperament he has.

Watch that cough...could be KC, pneumonia, heart...can't be too careful. I hope he's alright and glad to hear that his spirit is re-awakening! Just poor a little love and watch grow, Right? Can't wait to see pics!

Doing better.
Cough is getting better. Much better. He is already on antibiotics for the wound, so that may be helping. We have seen some spunk today. He is getting in and out of the dog door very well now. He even barked at the door when my Dad was knocking on it late this afternoon. He also stood up for himself and sort of "spanked" my younger pup Rocco for aggravating him continuously. He just nipped toward him to say leave me alone, but of course, Rocco's feelings are hurt. Actually, those 2 get along very well, so I'm keeping a close eye on things, but not too worried.
So far he really has perked up, and seems much happier. He has a gleam in his eyes that he didn't have before. I'm sure with love and attention he will perk up even more. I've seen lots of nub wagging today.

Butler will be 6 on the 4th of July and he runs in circles everyday. I'm sure Diesel has just had too much to deal with at once. Glad to hear he's getting some of that spunk back. How lucky for him to have found a loving home.
On a side note - it makes me really angry that people can just discard a fur kid when they become inconvenient. I could go on and on........

I totally agree with all the other posts. We have no idea what he went through at his previous home. And, to top it all off, he wasn't feeling well. Once he's all better and has had a chance to know you and trust you, I'm sure he'll be bouncing around in no time.
