what kind of bitter stuff was it that you tried? The first kind we tried, and I don't remember the name of it, he just licked and licked like it was a treat. After that, we tried Bitter Apple and he did not like that at all. Now we are going through this whole thing again with Tyson and luckily he doesn't like Bitter Apple.

So you could always try a different brand of spray and see what happens.

We've tried something called bitter yuck, which is what he literally drank out of my hand. Also tried some stuff called boundary which repels him very well. For 10 minutes. I have gotten some Bitter Apple and will try it soon.

Make sure that you shake the Bitter Apple up well. The bitters sink to the bottom and it won't work othewise.

Bitter Apple test:

Took a small piece of paper and sprayed it heavily with bitter apple and left it in front of him.

Result: Paper is shredded. Dog is happy.

Does this dog not have taste buds or what????

My Blizzy LOVED LOVED LOVED Bitter Apple! I noticed she chewed more with the stuff on it!

My new ones, I am not too sure if it will work, but after finding out WHY my butt sinks way down into the overstuffed chair..ohh wait did I say OVER stuffed..try NOT stuffed...I am heading out later to get it! Sneaky little brats..always running under that chair..now I know why! (and yes, i do vaccum the furniture and remove the cushoins..they chewed it just enough that there was no visual that they did it..until i pressed down on it and BLAM...hand went right to the floor!! :mad:

I too have a chair like that, it was once a lovely chestnut coloured leather chair! Not anymore!
