ehrlichia Tick borne virus anyone experience?

Just found out about this today. Anyone out there have any clue or have had your loved one experience this tick disease?

Years ago our GSD had fever, then i called the vet and he told me that she had ehrlichia,the tick was on the back of her ear and the vet gave her an injection and nothing more
Since then she has been very healthy,the vet told me that all these diseases in the blood,as ehrlichiosis is,at the first phase is very easy treating ,the hard phase is when it affects the liver or other organs of the body
