eating wood chips in the backyard

my tyson is always getting into and eating the wood chips in the backyard where we plant are flowers. last night he thew up a whole bunch of them. im just really afraid this is going to do some real internal damage. anyone esle have this problem? is this really dangerous to his health?

Drake does this also. We finally removed them because of it. Most of the chips in our area are treated not to rot. Also the wood could splinter in his stomach. I don't know about other areas, but I would err on the safe side:)

Ginger almost always eats our landscaping mulch. She starts out by chewing on it, then swallows it. I've only caught her 2 times chewing on it, the rest of the times I've just seen it while cleaning the dog poo off the yard. I too am afraid she'll injure something from eating it, but so far hasn't. I try to supervise her as much as possible while in the backyard so she doesn't get to eat it too often.

They sneak it by so well that sometimes we don't catch them. Buddy will be walking next to me in my bedroom and snag a leaf from the ficus plant without me seeing him do it. I catch him chewing and throwing it around when we get in the living room.

:LOL: how old is he?

Bimmer does that all the time, he loves chasing leaves, I dont know why but he finds them fascinating.
