Eating spiders! yuck!

Yesterday, I went up into our attic for something. When I went to close the door, the biggest spider I have ever seen in my life came swinging down. I knew that Bosco would try to eat it if he could so I told my husband to come QUICK! Well sports center was on so you know how that went. I don't know who I scared more, Bosco or his daddy b/c I screamed so loud at the dog not to get near him much less eat him.(Loud enough that I think the neighbors called the police!) After we got the spider out, Bosco just kept tip toeing around me, I think he was traumatized!! I didn't mean to, but it scared me to death. It can't be good for them to eat spiders right? Esp. ones that are BIGGER than a fifty cent piece!

Spud has never yet tried to eat one, but he does kill them for me. He stamps on them with his front feet. It's the funniest thing to watch (except I don't appreciate it at the time...I'm usually stood on a chair/hiding behind the door, screaming :rolleyes: ) My little spider-catching hero! lovicon

Jazz's favourite thing to do in the evening is lie in the garden, stick her nose to the ground and snort until she finds a bug or a spider she can eat. They're in big trouble in the house too, she stamps/pounces on them, then eats them
Last night she was chasing moths around the garden while we were watching a bike race on T.V. and it was hard to decide which was more fun to watch but I think Jazz beats the T.V any day.
She even ate a bee the other day, luckily she wasn't allergic but she was ill for the rest of the day. Hopefully she's learnt not to touch bees again.
Poor bugs don't know that they're entering dangerous territory if they come near our house. There's a bug-eating monster on the loose :D

Jake loves to eat bugs, slugs, anything that moves....ewww it's so disgusting. He found a large spider the other day in the yard, but I think it may have bit his tongue because he was shaking his head and sticking his tongue out - but he still swallowed it!

my pup eats everything that moves... rollie pollies, bees, ants, mice (if he can catch them), flies, mosquitoes, frogs, butterflies, birds...

My mom told me the other day Bailey was mouthing a slug she had brought in to the house-yuck! Roxy used to catch little moths and eat them, the flys are too quick.

Champ doesn't bother too much with bugs except to sniff and see what they are. But Oscar on the other hand will chase a fly around the house for ever. He trys to catch them in mid air. If he ever gets one he never eats it just spits it out and shows me where it is so I can clean it up. Same thing with spiders or any other type of bug. I just yell for Oscar, point to where it is and he jumps on it with his front two paws until he's sure it is not moving. It's soo funny because he just looks at me like "Anything else for me to get for ya mom, don't worry, I'll get those bugs." My little hero.

Tiger loves to chase lightning bugs at dusk. It kills me sometimes when he smashes his face into the ground. He does that inside also against the window with flies.
