This is fairly common in some dogs. If you do a search here for "eating feces" you will find a lot of posts. There are products available that you could put in their food and it makes their "droppings" taste bad(or bad to them!) Good luck!

Eating 'droppings'

Hello,

My Isis, who is now 8months used to eat hers quite frequently. The vet told me that if I simply mixed meat tenderizer with her food, she would stop eating her 'droppings'. It will not cause the dog to stop eating her food or cause harm to the dog for eating the food w/ meat tenderizer in it as well.

I best solution is to always pick up after your dog right away. Then they don't have the opportunity. :)

The best solution is definitely to pick it up right away, I agree. But, if for some reason you can not there are a lot of products on the market that make it unappealing to the dog to want too eat their droppings. Just call your local pet store and ask them about it. Usually it is a food additive or in a treat form.
