Is there anything I can give my puppy to ease his teething? He like to chew on ice cubes, I was wondering if they make anything for puppies that is similar to what they have for babies.
There is a product called Chilly Bone that you soak in water and then freeze, which is a similar idea to teething rings for babies that are kept in the fridge or freezer. But it's $8 for a cloth bone and a plastic bag, so my advice would be to soak a washcloth and freeze it, then let him chew on it. You'd just have to keep all other cloths you didn't want him chewing on out of his reach once you start that precedent.
I took an old washcloth, tied a knot in the middle, dampened it and put it in the freezer when Maggie was teething. When she'd whine and chew, I'd give her the frozen washcloth and she LOVED it and it soothed her gums and teeth quite nicely.
yeah, Buford will chase an ice cube around the entire house, batting at it like a cat! It's hilarious! And when it melts, he'll start barking because he can't find it! I tried the frozen rag, and he loved it! Thanks so much for the advice!
