What a cutie! There is nothing you can do about the way your baby grows. Just love her for who she is. I also agree with Sabrina, you shouldn't bring your pup home until she is 8 weeks. Good Luck!

well it is our older boxer who is the daddy, and they are at FIL's house. He is fixing to start working all the time, and they are going to get their first shots next Tuesday, so we will probably be bringing her home next Wednesday, which will be closer to 7 weeks. I was hoping to bring her home then, but only with the vet's okay. They are all eating on their own, and veyr fat and healthy.

Yes they must be a certain height and weight to show.

Weight is not mentioned in the standard but only a recommended height. The standard says...

Height--Adult males 22½ to 25 inches; females 21 to 23½ inches at the withers, preferably, males should not be under the minimum nor females over the maximum: however, proper balance and quality in the individual should be of primary importance since there is no size disqualification.

Eating on their own isn't the reason you should wait...most likely they've been eating on their own since about 4 wks of age. Like Sabrina already mentioned...puppies should stay with their littermates and dam until at least 8 wks of age but preferably longer. A search on the boards should pull up lots of info on this topic.

someone said on here, on another topic, that they go through a fear stage at about 7 to 7 1/2 weeks, so it is okay to bring them home before 8 weeks, so they are used to their new home, and the people and surroundings. I just found out that Layla will be 7 weeks when we bring her home, so that's okay I think. I know you guys are trying to help and I appreciate all the great advice!!
