Ears - floppy or not?

if you are not going to show i would say natural it brings out so much of peanuts and poke chops feelings and emotions. NOT to mention character. You may still show in the US if they are natural but it is still not a big hit. I say even if I was going to show I would leave em natural as I feel it is better for my babies and I think it will be getting more popular but may take some time but that is my opinion. The cropping of the ears takes alot of work and it is painful. Totally your decision of course but that is my opinion.

I personally adore the floppy un-cropped ears, purely a cosmetic decision though. Just something about those goofy dumbo-esque ears hanging around those big ol' jowls. Plus, I feel strange about rubbing the ears of a dog with cropped ears, they seem more fragile to me.

I had my pups ears cropped a cpl of weeks ago. Most vets will do the taping for you so all you have to do is show up when the vet says to change the wraps. As for pain, im not sure how much they feel since they are under anesthesia. The worst part was not being able to feed my pup the day of surgery until next morning. I love the way cropped ears look on dogs, but I do admit, i miss being able to grab my pups head full of ears when i wanted a kiss. I'm sure you'll decide whats best. If you DO decide to crop, research the vet very well. My dogs ears came out shorter than I wanted and theres nothing we can do now. Also, you must have the ears done by latest 10-12 wks. I love the floppy ears and would never have a puppy cropped even if it were legal in the uk.
Personal preference but to me the cropped ears make them look a bit agressive, the floppy look makes them look more softer.

With cropped ears, they look a little bit scary.
Floppy ears make them look like really big puppies!
