Ears and Head question

I saw a thread about ears, but it seems to be closed, so I want to bring it up again.

Rosie's left ear folds in a weird spot and doesn't lie like the other one. Not a huge deal, but it does kind of bug me considering the money we spent for her. From what I'm reading, it seems like the consensus is that the ears kind of "work themselves out"? Is that the case? What is this massage method I've heard about?

Also, I'm guessing the cone head goes away and squares out as they get older?

I know these sound like vain questions, but I'm hoping my Rose looks as close to standard as possible.

Thanks!

Sometimes they work themselves out and sometimes they don't. Rowdy's flew like crazy but then decided to lay correct when he hit around one. I massaged his ears every night, but I am not sure if that had anything to do with it.

Here's the link if you want to give it a shot. :)

We used massage with both our girls and they have beautiful ears. The massage is a good way to 'train' the ears but also helped our girls calm down. I'm pretty sure that after they've finished teething their ears calm down so they don't really need it anymore and to this day they both love a good ear massage :)

The cone head (or devil's horn in Kona's case!) goes away too though I'm not sure when. I don't remember Kilby having it but from the photos we have she definitley did but there is certainly no sign of it now (she's nearly 4yrs). Kona is nearly 18mths and her head is much squarer now but occassionally when she goes through a little growth spurt the 'horn' reappears but never for long.

ears flipped

Rocky's left ear literally folds over his head. Check out my gallery pics.

However - the past few days (and maybe I'm just getting lucky) his ear has been getting closer to normal.

I've been massaging them (not EVERY night but fairly often - whenever the guy falls asleep near me) and so far so good. I have a feeling it will resolve.

Everyone says if they are teething and growing they have to grow into the ears. Rocky's ear's are HUGE compared to his body, but again -i'ts been getting better .

Just massage and wait it out! DO you have any pics?

sounds good! Thanks for the tips. Rosie's ear isn't that bad. It's more like it folds in half. Even if it stays it's not incredibly funny looking. I'll try to post some pics. She's already almost quadrupled in size in the 6 weeks we've had her!

what are you saying? hehe

What are you saying Rocky's is bad?! haha j/k. That's the first thing EVERYONE says about him. OMG HIS EAR - what is wrong with his ear.

So it gets a bit annoying, but I think it's cute. Of course - a mama will love it but to the rest of the world it looks "bad".
