Ear posting...Need Help please!

Sorry to thread-jack here but I have an ear question. Rosco is 5 months old and we are going to leave his ears natural. He has one ear that hangs down normal and the other kinda sticks out. Will the ear fix itself as he gets older? I have seen the taping / massaging method for natural ears and didn't know if I should pursue this now before it gets to late.

Natural ears do need to be trained as well. You can find a lot more information on it now then you could a couple of years ago, ever since the standard was revised to make it more "natural ear" friendly. Roxy has natural ears, and I massage them nightly. You can see in her pictures that her ears kinda stick out (they probably would have been beautiful cropped, but oh,well...) I have to work them to get them to lay down. You probably do want to begin massaging, it's very simple and they LOVE it, it's a great ear rub and treat for them and helps their ears look better. It consists of a VERY light tugging and then smoothing them down and towards the front of the head, this gives them a good straight angle on the tops.

Sorry it took so long to get back to this, been a bit hectic around here. I got the skin bond and *haha*:D glued the molefoam into his ears, they look great and its been working with no problems for the last six days.

Still lots of problems with him leaving the tape wrapped around his head to keep his ears positioned up and straight, the tape dont last longer then 4 hours so I gave up since they seem to be sticking straight up on their own and he holds them up just fine except when he is really relaxed they droop down to go outwards from his head, is that alright? Or do I need to keep on the tape? I dont know if they are supposed to droop down a bit when they relax but when hes at attention and playing they are right up there and look beautiful.

How long exactly does it take for the skin bond wear off? I didnt put a great amount but the molefoam is still stuck in there good and tight. And when the skin bond does wear off how long should I wait to re-post them? I heard you give them a rest for a day or two but I want to make sure. Well other wise the skin bond is awsome and were getting some where now you can really tell!

The ears look to be doing pretty well in your avatar. Good luck, I prefer natural ears myself, but there is nothing more regal and handsome than a perfect pair of cropped ears. Keep up the good work.
