So I took Tyson to the vet this past weekend for his second round of puppy shots and found out that he has a bit of an ear mite infection. He has some brown "gunk" in his ears and itches it occassionally but other than that it doesnt seem to bother him too terribly much. The vet prescribed Tresaderm to be put directly in his ears and instructed me to clean out the ears gently.
I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this scenario and could relate their experience!
Some questions I have are how long will it take for the residue and the infection to clear up? Is there a risk of the infection resurfacing? Some ideas for cleaning the ears regularly? (Im just using a qtip right now and swabbing it out after applying the medication which is pretty oily naturally)
