Durable Beds?

So I go upstairs to go to bed last night, and find that Mia has ripped her bed to shreds. The stuffing was all over the bedroom. So I was up pretty late last night cleaning up the mess. Mia just watched me clean it up...wiggling her little butt the whole time. This is the third or fourth bed shes gone thru :mad: Does anyone have any recommendations for any really durable beds?

....mine learned early on if they destroyed the bedding they got an old folded up bedspread or quilt to lay on.

Do you sew at all? If not ask someone.. this is toooo easy.
I bought a few yards of sturdy cotten fabric. I think 3 yards.
I fold it in half to double it and then fold it in half again to make sort of a pillow case shape. Sew the top but not the sides. I put a 20 inch zipper on the seam. Open the zipper about half way and then sew the sides. Turn the bed bag right side out. It should look like a giant pillow case with a zipper.. and be big enough to hold two bed pillows. I went to Kmart and got two really inexpensive pillow and two cotten pillow protectors, put that together and I put them in the bed bag. Tada. It took me about 15 minutes to make. My son's picked out some cute baseball fabric and I picked out a stripe so that I can change them and wash them. With all the layers of fabric... It's just too much effort to chew through. ... AND(!) it fits in a crate too if you need it to.

WOW..what a great idea! We were so mad, we had to board them once for a week so my DH bought each of them a really nice bed, too bad by the time we arrived to pick them up there was nothing left of either bed:( Ornery babies. Needless to say, if we board them again they will get old blankets cause my pocket book can't afford $200.00 chew toys.

My 3 demolished their regular beds, they are now in their crate with a fleecy mattress and fur throw over the top, they havn't touched it...yet!

My two haven't touched their beds *touch wood* but have chewed the arms of my cane furniture in the conservatory :(

Zeus has never torn up his beds. i had to get rid of one of them because it was so gross after a while...which i need to get him a new one for the outside deck. i think i'll go along with making one as suggested here!! i've read on a post somewhere here that there is a durable bed made out of canvas material. it is elevated off the ground with aluminum piping, so it's very lightwieght...i guess think of it like those camping chairs that are so popular right now. i can't remember what its called though.

He has destroyed EVERYTHING I have ever put in his crate. Since it's just a cover, you can fill it with whatever you want. I put an old comforter in Beau's and he loves it. He hasn't even attempted to destroy it. It fits perfectly in his crate and I couldn't be happier with it. I think it might be the best $17 I've ever spent. I'm actually about to order another one so he can have his own bed in my room.

Grace hasn't chewed any of her bedding. I use an old sunflower printed comforter to add a bit more fluff for my princess. I wash her cover regularly, but have not had to replace it.

I bought one that has a mixture of cedar chips and foam stuffing the cover comes off to be washed but you can't wash the inside Foreman had an accident in his crate once so i washed the outside but left the inside outside and sprayed it with febreeze, but the bed is kind of awkward and I just got an idea from this quote to stuff it with pillows then I can just throw them out when they start to smell.
