Gideon is a great dog. He never drools except when he's in his cage. Then...it's disgusting. If he's in there for an hour, when I get home, his mouth, chin and chest are soaking wet. So is his cage floor, and there are drool drops in a wide radius outside the cage. He doesn't do anything else while he's in his cage...this is the only "bad" behavior he has in there. If I get home after a couple hours, it's dried up. But when I get home and he's sopping wet, I feel so bad because he is so wet and gross! Please help. What may be causing this and what can I do to help him stop??
Thank you!!

seperation anxiety

more than likely this is a form of seperation anxiety
use the search engine in the top right corner of the screen, lots and lots of dogs have been thru and overcome this
good luck!

It is separation anxiety. My girl Tara had that problem. Something that helped her was
Not making a big deal out of coming and going
I bought her a kong
There is a lot of info out there about it

Good luck
