Bentleydad
Boxer Buddy
We are sad to say that we lost both our boxers in a span of 11 days back in September. We lost our beautiful Gunner ("baby Gunner") on September 12th. We lost our handsome Bentley ("Benny") on September 23rd (5 months ago today). To go from having the 2 most beautiful boxers (all boxers are beautiful) to having none has left us empty and sad. Gunner had allergies that required boots to be worn whenever he went outside. He was such a trooper. He never complained. Eventually he was euthanized due to suspected bladder cancer. It was heartbreaking. Bentley grieved his brother tremendously. He actually went to a covered box where we kept some of Gunner's things, sniffed it, laid down in front of it and moaned. He would go to where Gunner's cage had been and do something similar. He missed his brother so much. Bentley's health started to decline. His kidneys started to fail and his pancreatitis returned. He got very sick and suffered a few seizures. The agonizing decision was made to end his suffering. We miss our boys so much. We have so many memories of our boys. Although we cry often when we think of them, we smile often too. So many things they did made us laugh and smile. We could tell so many stories. We will never forget them.
