Dogs with no tails are mean

Burns you up doesn't it?? I had someone tell me once they could not believe I had a breed that was bred to eat children. I was so mad! I tried to explain how wonderful they are and how they are supposed to be great w/children-but got me no where-just more angry!!

Anytime I see a boxer I just have to run over and play a bit I have been spoiled by the breed now!! They are just the best! Too bad I wasn't the one running by-I would have loved to play

So many people think boxers are pits. They are totally missing out by not wanting anything to do with boxers. I love mine to pieces! She is the best. My kids would probably choose her over me if they had to!!!

At least everyone here is smart and we all know what the rest of the world does not, Boxer's are the best, a gift sent to us to comfort and protect, to love and support. If everyone had a boxer the world would be a much happier place.

I feel sorry for that child, being sheltered and made to be scared of dogs that have no tails, man that father is doing more harm then good.

He said that about the harness!! What a lot of nerve on that guy! I would've started laughing hysterically after that remark, that always seems to irritate those types the most.

I think I would have been laughing at him as well!! What a dummy. Poor little girl, that's what she gets for a role model? Ugh. Why wouldn't you teach your daughter the correct way to approach a dog rather than trying to scare the crap out of her with the "they'll eat you" approach? STOP BREEDING!

perhaps you could have asked him what scientific study he was quoting that nugget of knowledge from as I would be EXTREMELY interested in reading that. poor kid- now she will grow up and have some weird aversion to nubby-tailed dogs... i guess i understand where people get their neuroses....yeesh!

Courtknee202 is right, laughing at them gets the best response. This is what I do too.

Any parent who teaches his kid to make a judgment based on appearance - whether it is with a dog or people - is doing a grave disservice to his child's development. He's teaching them it's okay to be prejudiced/racist, and that will likely carry over to the child feeling free to make other assumptions on people, places, cultural differences, etc. as they've been raised to believe little differences mean universal truths. How sad.

How wonderful that the little girl came running over to Bailey, and the jerk was around to see it - and nice touch with the comment on how boxers are the best with kids! You orchestrated that very well!

OK after reading this thread I agree with a post on my topic about stupid people... some people shouldnt be allowed to walk around on thier own!!!!! I have a boxer and a german shephard who are angels... the pomchi however is satan incarnate she wont let a stranger get close enough to sniff... the first night we had her she bit me. Id much rather have my child around a friendly BIG dog than a pesky little one (dh's dog in training). People complain about Breeding Dogs.. what about irresponsible human breeding?
