Super Boxer
I was away for most of the weekend, so when I got home I brought Bailey to a bike/jogging trail. We jogged almost 2 miles and turned around to walk back, so now I am tired from traveling 6 hours and from jogging. We pass a guy with his daughter, maybe 3 or 4, on her bike.I get about 10 feet in front and I hear the girl say "Dad can I ask to pet his dog?" I was about to just stop and say sure you can, when I hear her father say "Dogs with no tails are mean and will eat you". I felt bad for the girl, she just wanted to pet Bailey and Bailey would have given her more kisses than her father does. A little ways up A lady with 2 Chihuahuas stops me. As we are talking the little girl asks to pet the Chihuahuas. So I took the opportunity to ask the guy why he felt that way. He had no answer other than "They just are". I asked what he thought Bailey was and he said a pitbull mix. I told him she was a boxer and they are one of the best breeds with kids. His reponse was "I'm going to listen to you? you don't even know how to put a harness on, the loop goes on the back JERK." I didn't even bother to tell him it is an easy walk, I just was not in the mood. I tried to stay quiet because of his daughter and just, in not to nice a way told him I hope he never owns one because he would not deserve its love. As I walked away another little girl yells mommy its another boxer. She came over and played with Bailey. As the guy walked by I made sure to say to the mother (who has 2 boxers) that they are the best with children and her reply was "without a doubt."
