I saw this guy walking his boxer the other day and he had three 5lb weights attached to his collar. He said he was trying to make his boxer more muscular. Have any of ya'll heard of this? I thought it was dumb.

my fiance also thought that this would be a good idea when we got a male. thank god somebody asked about it so i could show him that it was a bad idea.

What the **** is wrong with people? Not only is it dumb, I believe it would be considered animal cruelty. We humans are far larger than our boxers and yet WE don't wear 15lb. weights around our necks. The poor thing probably hurts terribly. If you see the b*****d again, tell him you're going to call the ASPCA for animal cruelty if you ever see his dog being forced to wear weights again. Better yet, call the ASPCA and tell them what you saw. They can probably give you some good advice. It's a shame that such idiots are allowed to be dog owners!

People have no brains sometimes, and who all wants to vote that this guy will one day breed his "muscular" boxer?? Sometimes people make me want to scream. For sure if you see this guy again, or anybody doing stuff like that, report them. No animal should have to live like that, it's just ridiculous to be treated that way out of pure stupidity on the owner's part.

Definitely cruel and down right sickening!! I have heard of people making their pitt's drag weights to strengthen them, makes me wonder if this guy was only trying to "make him look more muscular". I would definitely report him if you see this again! :mad:

Could not have said it better myself Always report things like this, it is so inhumane. I feel so bad for that boxer baby. Someone should tie a 50lb weight on his Mr. Happy and see how he likes that.
