I highly recommend the Zoom Groom. I use it on Pearl and I get PILES of hair off. Completely rubber so it can't possibly scratch like a metal shedding blade and it will last you forever.

I second this! Another good thing is that it is pretty durable. Brady thinks it is a toy, maybe because it is rubber like the kongs, and he steals it and throws it around every where and even chews on it.

I use a rubber brush,that's probably similar to a Zoom Groom,it also has the rubber bristles on it.
It's great to use in the shower too,for Waldo that is,not me or DH

We use a smaller version of a curry comb that is made out of soft rubber. It really collects hair and the dogs love it.

This is what I have. It has two sides with different size teeth on either side. I can't remember, but I either got it at Wal-mart or TSC. Apollo has sensitive skin and this is the only one that he will even let you get close to him with.(Rocky likes it too)

I've got a curry brush that I use when giving Rocky a bath and he doesn't mind it but isn't nuts about it either. I also have a 2 in 1 brush made by Four Paws that has brass bristles surrounded by nylon bristles and it's specifically made for short haired dogs. This brush is great at removing loose hair and Rocky is crazy about this one. When I pick it up, he immediately comes over and sits at my feet with his back to me waiting for the brushing to begin!

I bought the one with the nubs on both sides today at Walmart. It's like a hand shape, you can put your hand in it. It has big ones on one side and smaller ones on the other. It was like 5 dollars or less. It works great and they LOVE it. The only problem I have is getting the hair out of the smaller side. Any ideas?? I ran it under the water, but that didn't work, it just got all stuck in it.
I looked at the kong brand one, and it was like 12 dollars or more. I didn't want to spend that much. Besides, I have one that is exactly the same, that I have used to massage them. It might even be the kong brand, I don't remember, I ordered it out of a catalog a long time ago. Didn't think of using it as a brush, but might try now. I like the one from walmart, the nubby things are closer together than the zoom groom, or whatever it's called.
