dog run odor

I am looking for any suggestions as to how to solve our smelly situation! Our dogs(we have 4 of them!) have their own fenced in yard. We pick up the "poop" regularly and my husband tills the dirt and puts lyme down,but the urine smell is still so unbelievable. Does anyone know of anything I can do do rid the smell?

Try putting a tablespoon of tomato juice in each dog's food once a day. This will help tremendously with the odor and the yellowing of your grass.

I actually pay a service that cleans up after my dogs as I too have 3. My three have full run of the yard so they poop everywhere. In addition to cleaning up the poop this particular service will put down a deodorizer at my request and additional cost. I think the service is great and the cost is reasonable. Perhaps you have a similar type of service in your area. It's so funny the guy that comes to clean our yard wears a t-shirt that says "got poop?". Every time I write the check I think what a great business why didn't I think of that

We also have 3 dogs and sometimes the smell is bad. We clean up daily but once a week I spray the yard with a deodrizer called "Trail" I ordered a gallon jug of it from a company called PetEdge. Works great!!

"simple" solution

Hi,

I have been spraying simple green on the dog run gravel, as it is non-toxic and biodegradeable. Some may find the smell of the simple green worse, but it sure does take the pee odor away. I soak the gravel then keep the dogs off it until it dries.

Really? wow thanks for sharing that Im dfinatly gonna try!... Do you actually mean the juice from a fresh tomatoe? What about tomatoe ketchup?

Dan--do you use regular tomato juice?? I'm wondering if low-sodium would do the same thing--I would love to try it.
