It seems that if I take my Dog (11mos Crosby) to the dog park for a few days he ends up getting bad Diareaha and ends up on chicken and rice. Does anyone else have this problem? I have asked other dog owners at the park and they dont have this problem. A few times he gets antibiotics thinking he picked up a bug but never 100% sure. Any helpful ideas?

when a dog runs around alot he can get loose stools. how is his bowel movement in the morning? try not to jump the gun and put him on antiboctics unless his stool sample contains something.
but when he is on antiboctics you might want to give a teaspoon of plain yougut to help with getting back the good bacteria.

He went last night and it is totally fine. What happens is he has an accident in his crate during the day time and it ends up being like shootig liquid out his rear end. It is really sad. It is hard b/c he LOVES the dog park. The vet tells us not to stop going there b/c he gets so much out of it. I have started to give him yogurt eveyday just to keep good bacteria in his tummy.
I have read this is good to do, suggestions?

lots of running and exercise, or playing and excitement at the dog park stimulates the bowels and sometimes they do tend to get runny stool and diarrhea. The yougurt helps keep the "good bacteria" count up in their intestines and helps lessen gas, so it can't hurt to add it to his meals. Gracie gets a tablespoon in her meals. A little canned pumpkin (not the spiced pie filling, but the canned straight pumpkin) can help firm up the stool if necessary--just be careful--too much pumpkin has the opposite effect! I wouldn't stop going to the park, I agree that the benefits generally outweigh the negatives! :) Good luck!

Thanks for the help. Do you think Yogurt and Pumkin are okay together? Would you say a Tbl Spoon of each 2x per day? He is 55 lbs.
Also, when are they full grown 1.5 years? I wonder how big he will get!

Yes both can be used together. The yogurt replaces the healthy bacteria in the intestines killed by the antibiotics and the pumpkin helps to bind the stool. Careful tho, to much pumpkin gives diarrhea.

Yes, those amounts are fne.

I think that if it was up to me I would stay away from the dog park, although they love it so much. It is your baby´s health that is suffering.

Barkley has this same problem when we go to the dog park. Only it's not a few days later it's always right there at the park. His business is always normal at home but always runny at the park. We give him yogurt in his food once a day. SO the deal with pumpkin, is it something I can do maybe the day we go to the park, maybe in the morning meal? Like if we know we are going? Or is it an every day thing?
