Gentle Leader is great!
Rita just didn't respond to a "choke collar". It didn't slow her down at all.
She pulled and I pulled until we were both exhausted and frustrated. We got a Gentle Leader and it was immediately better for me. She gets a little mad at it some times, but now she has figured out how to trick me! She has figured out that there is one place (just beside and behind my left knee) where the Gentle Leader is unable to bother her! As long as she stays right there, it doesn't bother her at all! What a happy coincidence!
