We too had to make other arrangements for the kitty food when we brought our boxer baby home. I had a petdoor installed on the interior door that leads to my basement and put the litter boxes and the food dishes down the basement - the cats actually like this set up because they can escape from the dog whenever they want and she is tooo big to follow them thru the door - they have their own domain down there - it has worked out wonderfully.
